Beyond Words

Filed under: Uncategorized — randy @ 12:54 pm

Quality of life improves

when we move toward the nonverbal —

no thought,

no opinion,

no judgment,

no complaint.

It improves when we step outside.

Buildings are made of walls.

Words are made of conclusions.

Both can quietly enclose us.

Real nourishment comes

when we increase our time in open air —

away from verbal constructions,

away from the city’s constant narration.

Listen:

Birdsong.

Moving water.

Wind through leaves.

See:

Blue.

Green.

White clouds drifting.

Witness:

Blossoming flowers.

Children laughing.

Breath entering clean and unhurried.

Outside,

the mind softens.

The body remembers.
